In other words, smarter and better than GPT 4 and if you are a free user of ChatGPT and still using GPT 3.5, then there will be a marked difference. To be fair to Altman, he further said about ChatGPT 4 that he thinks it is “an amazing thing, but relative to where we need to get to and where I believe we will get to, at the time of like GPT-3, people were like ‘oh this is amazing, this is like marvel of technology’ and it is, it was.” He compared GPT-4 with GPT-3 and said that now the older model feels “unimaginably horrible”.
