Up to 40% of students who participated in a global survey say they have used generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in their studies – a practice that appears to be more popular in Kenya than any other of the 15 countries included in the report by the impact, research and advocacy arm of the edtech company Chegg. Nearly two-thirds – 65% of the 11,816 students who participated in the survey – indicated they would like their curriculum to include training in AI tools that could be relevant to their future careers.
