Regional public universities are navigating a period of profound change: demographic decline, growing competition from national online providers, and increasing pressure to demonstrate the value of a degree. Those challenges formed the backdrop for a conversation at this year’s American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Summer Meeting, where Dr. Shelly Blunt, Provost at the University of Southern Indiana (USI), and Susan Dukes, President of University Partnerships at Risepoint, shared lessons from USI’s online graduate growth and discussed what regional universities can learn from the institution’s experience.
