This one ingredient has become the new passport to entering into high-paying roles and it opens doors to lucrative career progression opportunities. Wondering what it is? No, it’s not your master’s degree. It’s not even your bachelor’s degree. It’s your microcredentials. This relatively new term has been floated around by various learning providers including Coursera, who just released their 2025 Microcredentials Report today, which revealed that not only are employers willing to pay a premium for microcredential-holders, but also that nine in 10 U.S. employers “agree they’re more likely to hire candidates with GenAI micro-credentials over those without.”
