Interest in US for postgrad study has plummeted, data shows - Nathan M Greenfield, University World News

“International student demand for US postgraduate education (MA and PhD) is now down 44% since mid-January, having dropped a further 3% since your last article [on 18 March],” Edwin van Rest, co-founder and CEO of Studyportals, told University World News. The largest decline in interest in studying in the US has been among Indian and Bangladeshi students. In comparison with the fourth quarter of 2024, the interest of these groups has fallen by -26.5% and -25.7%, respectively, according to data provided to University World News by Studyportals.
