OpenAI revenue jumps 30% in three months: report - Chris Ciaccia, Seeking Alpha

ChatGPT, the generative artificial intelligence chatbot that took the world by storm in late 2022, has surpassed 20M paid subscribers, up from 15.5M at the end of 2024, according to The Information.
That jump of 4.5M paid subscribers, or roughly 30%, suggests the company is generating at least $415M in revenue per month, up from at least $333M per month at the end of last year, a gain of 30%.
The Information obtained the statistic from a company spokesperson. The data point comes after OpenAI, which is backed largely by Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), announced a new $40B funding round that values the ChatGPT maker at $300B.
