The evidence consistently shows that one of the most significant decisions senior leaders and executives make is choosing the right people for management roles. Gallup data from the past 40 years emphasizes that selecting the wrong person for a managerial position can have long-lasting negative effects. Over the years, I have observed numerous counterproductive behaviors in middle and upper management. These are the behaviors I plead for bosses to stop for their teams to flourish and their businesses to profit.
