Experienced workers are often used to learning taking place in a classroom. However, with online learning increasing in popularity for employer-sponsored education programs, it's important to utilize an approach that couples online learning with both hands-on experience and peer-to-peer education to most effectively upskill these employees. My company recently conducted a study of 2,000 employees in the United States and found that upskilling is at the forefront of employees’ minds.
• 77% are interested in developing new skills or pursuing additional education.
• 55% are feeling pressured to stay competitive in their industry.
• 68% wish their employer offered more opportunities to take their career to the next level.
