One of the significant issues being debated within the Centre for Global Higher Education is higher education’s role in knowledge development and exchange. The challenge is that the dominance of the Global North and Western hemisphere universities undermines inclusivity, which makes positive directions of change more difficult. Our project, on “Realising the potential of digital technology for scaling up higher education”, brings us right up against that challenge, because digital technology and its use in education itself is universal and dominates in the same way.
