These data reveal that from 2016-17 to 2021-22 UK TNE grew by 32%, from just over 400,000 students to about 532,500, while Australian TNE has increased by 128% from 80,000 students to about 182,500.
Beyond the confines of traditional national educational boundaries, TNE serves as a bridge, connecting individuals, institutions and education systems across the globe, in the process helping to foster that shared understanding and sense of global citizenship required for peaceful and constructive relations between our increasingly interconnected communities.
