Songs composed with the help of artificial intelligence will be eligible for Grammys - Chris Knight, Calgary Herald

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences is putting a little more science into its arts awards next year. Under new rules unveiled by the organization, also known as the Recording Academy, songs composed with the aid of artificial intelligence will be eligible for Grammys at future awards shows. The move comes as artists and fans have been unleashing the power of artificial intelligence on the creation and curation of music. For example, the Beatles are back in the news – and might soon be back on the charts – with the announcement from Paul McCartney that AI will help produce a previously unreleased Beatles song, featuring the voice of the late John Lennon.
