Mercer University is responding swiftly and was among the first universities to begin training faculty on AI tools, said Dr. Susan Codone, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, which provides support for teaching and professional development for Mercer faculty. Sessions introduced faculty to the main AI tools that have emerged, traced their path of development and showed how they’re being used. Training also covered how to identify appropriate uses of the technology and how to make courses and activities AI resilient.
