Higher ed has not been immune to the Great Resignation. Many universities have long lists of open positions. We are on the cusp of filling some of those openings and more with cost-efficient, reliable and effective artificial intelligence. Increasingly, many students are accustomed to interacting with AI-driven chat bots. Serving in a wide range of capacities at colleges, the chat bots commonly converse in text or computer-generated speech using natural language processing. These algorithms may even create a virtual relationship with the students.
