Edited by Professor Lauren Cifuentes, A Guide to Administering Distance Learning was published in September. It includes chapters by two dozen professionals and researchers in the distance learning field. Among the authors is UPCEA Senior Fellow and curator of muliple UPCEA reading lists Ray Schroeder - "chapter two: Leadership for Online Learning" and the late Distinguished Professor Karen Swan - "chapter ten: Quality Assurance in Online Education." Professor Swan passed away September 5, leaving a legacy in our field of more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and major contributions to the theory and practice of distance education.
