The placid ivy-covered walls and calm quad will remain when COVID is vanquished, but the university will never be the same. We are forever changed -- by the disease and by the advance of technology and competition in this, the fourth industrial revolution. The successful university to which students return post-pandemic will be significantly different from the one they left for remote learning in 2020. The new normal will be technology enhanced and accessibility committed. The path to a successful future is paved with responsiveness to student needs, accessibility, connectedness to society and to the workplace.
