Students embrace in-person classes; some miss convenience of online learning - ERIN GESSERT, Daily Vidette

Online learning was a big transition that the entire Illinois State University community quickly had to adjust to back in March 2020. Starting this semester, students have been transitioning back to in-person learning. For some students, this is their first year of in-person college classes.  However, online classes did benefit students in ways that are impossible to do in an in-person setting. Senior nursing major Lauren Turner also said she prefers in-person learning, but online classes had significant benefits. “Sometimes they would record the lectures so that we could go back and watch them again or if you happened to miss class. I miss being able to go back and listen,” Turner said.
