Smart phones will continue to decline for the third straight year in 2019, but the advent of 5G will help propel mobile device growth at least through 2023, according to a new market forecast. According to a report released by IDC, smart phone shipments will decline slightly in 2019 compared with 2018, off 0.8 percent to 1.39 billion devices shipped worldwide.
