Chief digital officer title gaining steam on campuses - Keith Button, Digital Dive

More universities and colleges are creating chief digital officer positions to help manage online learning and other digital initiatives. Part of the reason for the movement may be that higher education institutions believe that they need more structure and accountability for online and digital learning beyond what the chief information officer provides, Campus Technology reported.
