China will further develop continuing education in a bid to strengthen the country's human resources, a senior official said on Saturday. Liu Yandong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting on continuing education. Continuing education, or further education, is a kind of education system that provides mainly part-time adult students with knowledge and skills. In China it includes self-study examination, open university, correspondent education, colleges' network education, and evening universities systems.
