UT dean disputes governor, ‘breakthrough solutions’ - Ralph K.M. Haurwitz, the Statesman

Higher education policies advocated by an Austin-based think tank and Gov. Rick Perry would undermine research, teaching and efforts to increase graduation rates at the University of Texas, according to a report issued today by one of the school’s most prominent deans. The report by Liberal Arts Dean Randy Diehl and his top aides takes issue with seven “breakthrough solutions” promoted by the Texas Public Policy Foundation, an Austin-based think tank.
