Sacramento State continuing education dean retires - Sacramento Business Journal
Tom joined California State University Sacramento as associate dean in 1993, and oversaw development and expansion of off-campus professional education efforts, according to the university. Appointed as dean in 1997, she also oversaw the construction of Napa Hall, the continuing education administration and classroom building. Before coming to Sacramento State, Tom worked at the University of California, Davis and Sacramento City College. Provost Joseph Sheley said few people think of continuing education at the university without thinking of Tom. “She has been especially adept at matching Sacramento State’s strengths with the strengths and needs of its home region,” Sheley said in a statement.
