EDITORIAL: Lamar, other agencies must deal with budget cuts - Beaumont Enterprise

No doubt about it, the loss of Lamar University's Continuing Education Department in the Beaumont library is not easy to accept. The Continuing Education Department, as worthy as it is, was not part of Lamar's core mission. When a university has to absorb major budget cuts - $15 million over the next two-year budget - things like that must be looked at first.
