With a declining number of local students graduating from high school and an improving economy, Northeast Ohio’s colleges and universities are refining their recruiting strategies. “It’s never been this competitive,” said Timothy Bryan, chief of staff and vice president for enrollment and marketing at Malone University in Canton. “You’ve got to make your net wider,” Bryan said.
