U.S. Senate HELP Committee Releases White Papers on Higher Education Act Reauthorization - National Law Review

On March 23, 2015, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN), chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (the “HELP Committee”) released staff white papers about the following three issues, as related to the upcoming reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (the “HEA”): accreditation, risk-sharing and data transparency/consumer information. The HELP Committee also seeks input from the higher education community on these issues, with comments on the white papers requested by April 24, 2015.
